Applied Linguistics and Pedagogy Studies Journal (ALPSJ) is committed to maintaining the highest ethical
standards in scholarly publishing. We adhere to the principles outlined by the
Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and encourage all authors, reviewers,
and editors to uphold these standards.
Duties
of Authors:
- Reporting
Standards: Authors must
provide accurate and objective accounts of their research, including
sufficient detail and references to allow for replication. Fraudulent or
inaccurate statements are unacceptable.
- Data Access and
Retention: Authors
should be prepared to provide raw data for editorial review and, if
practicable, public access to such data. Authors are also expected to
retain data for a reasonable period after publication.
- Originality and
Plagiarism: Authors must
ensure their work is entirely original and properly cite any borrowed
material. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.
- Multiple,
Redundant, or Concurrent Publication: Authors should not publish essentially the same research in
multiple journals. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals
concurrently is unethical.
- Acknowledgement of
Sources: Proper
acknowledgement of the work of others is essential. Authors should cite
influential publications and acknowledge any contributions from
collaborators.
- Authorship of the
Paper: Authorship
should be limited to those who made significant contributions to the
research. All contributors should be listed as authors, and the
corresponding author is responsible for ensuring all appropriate authors
are included and have approved the final version of the paper.
- Disclosure and
Conflicts of Interest: Authors
must disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that might
influence their research. All sources of funding should be acknowledged.
- Fundamental Errors
in Published Works: Authors
have a responsibility to promptly notify the editor of any significant
errors or inaccuracies in their published work and cooperate with the
editor to correct or retract the paper.
- Hazards and Human
or Animal Subjects: If the
research involves hazards, human subjects, or animal subjects, authors
must clearly identify and address any ethical concerns.
