AUTHOR GUIDELINES


Applied Linguistics and Pedagogy Studies Journal (ALPSJ)  welcomes submissions that contribute to the understanding of the intersection of language, artificial intelligence, and the development of critical power skills.

Manuscript Preparation:

  • Scope and Focus: Ensure your manuscript aligns with the journal's focus and scope, as outlined in the "Focus and Scope" section.
  • File Format: Submit your manuscript in a Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) file format.
  • Word Count: Manuscripts should be between 4,000 and 8,000 words, excluding references.
  • Formatting:
    • Use A4 paper size with the following margins: 2.5 cm (left and right), 4 cm (top), 3 cm (bottom).
    • Use Times New Roman font throughout.
    • Font sizes:
      • Title: 16 pt, bold, all caps
      • Author names: 12 pt, bold
      • Affiliation: 12 pt, italic
      • Correspondence: 12 pt, italic
      • Abstract: 11 pt, bold, first letter of each word capitalized
      • Keywords: 11 pt, bold
      • Main text: 12 pt
    • Conjunctions and prepositions in the title should be capitalized.
  • Citations and References: Cite all sources using the American Psychological Association (APA) style. Use reference management software (e.g., Zotero, Mendeley) to ensure accuracy.
  • Plagiarism: Do not include plagiarized, obscene, libelous, or defamatory material. All work must be original.
  • Page Numbers: Do not insert page numbers.
  • Acknowledgements: Acknowledge any individuals or organizations who have contributed to your research.
  • Manuscript Structure:
    • Title: Clear, concise, and informative.
    • Authors: Include full names and affiliations.
    • Correspondence: Provide the email address of the corresponding author.
    • Abstract: A concise summary of the research (150-250 words).
    • Keywords: Provide 3-5 keywords that accurately represent the content of the paper.
    • Introduction: Clearly state the research problem, its significance, and the main aims of the study.
    • Methodology: Describe the research methods used, including data collection and analysis techniques.
    • Findings: Present the results of your study, using tables, figures, or other visual aids as necessary.
    • Discussion: Interpret the findings, relate them to existing literature, and discuss their implications.
    • Conclusion: Summarize the main findings and their significance, and discuss future directions for research.
    • References: List all cited sources in alphabetical order according to APA guidelines.

Submission Preparation Checklist:

  • The manuscript has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere for consideration.
  • The manuscript is in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  • All references are complete and include URLs where available.
  • The text is single-spaced and uses Times New Roman font.
  • All illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points.
  • The manuscript adheres to all formatting guidelines specified above.

  • Copyright: Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication.
  • License: The work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
  • Open Access: Published articles are freely available online.

  • All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process.
  • Reviewers will assess the manuscript based on its originality, significance, methodology, and clarity.
